I teach sustainable gardening skills, with a current interest in the benefits of biodynamics. Previously a landscaper for seven years, I was fortunate to maintain gardens of up to two acres. Since 2013, I have taught the Oregon Food Bank Seed to Supper<\/a> class annually. In 2014, I earned a Master of Science degree in Leadership for Sustainability Education<\/a> from Portland State University. My focus was on Garden-Based Education in Schools and Communities.<\/p>\n

After graduating, I completed the Beginning Urban Farmer Apprenticeship in 2014, a program offered through Oregon State University. I became an Oregon State University Extension Service Master Gardener<\/a> in 2015, a program providing an in-depth garden education specific to the Pacific Northwest; I have access to excellent knowledge and materials.<\/p>\n

Always keeping my education current, I take classes and workshops through the Natural Resources Conservation Service<\/a>. I recently completed Attracting Native Bees and Beneficial Insects and Soil Health Workshop for Teachers and Community Gardeners.\u00a0My goal is to educate people to use methods of gardening that allow plants to express their genetic fullness without chemicals.<\/p>\n
